Searching for lower car insurance rates for your Bentley Azure? Wish you could get out of an overpriced car insurance policy? It’s quite common and many consumers are in the same pinch. Companies like Geico and Progressive constantly blast consumers with catchy ads and it is difficult to ignore the flying pigs and cute green geckos and do the work needed to find the best deal.
If you are insured now or need new coverage, you can use these techniques to reduce the price you pay and still get good coverage. Buying car insurance is quite easy. Drivers only need an understanding of the most effective way to get comparison rates on the web.
Which insurance coverage is cheapest?
There are a lot of ways to shop for insurance coverage, but some are more efficient than others. You can waste a few hours (or days) discussing policy coverages with agents in your area, or you can stay home and use the internet to maximize your effort.
Most major companies take part in a program that enables customers to only type in their quote data once, and each participating company returns a rated price. This prevents consumers from doing quote requests to every company.
To find out how much you’re overpaying now click here to open in new window.
The only downside to comparing rates this way is you cannot specify the insurers you want pricing from. So if you prefer to choose individual companies to compare prices, we have a page of insurance coverage companies in your area. Click here to view list.
However you get your quotes, do your best to use exactly the same coverage limits and deductibles on every quote you get. If you are comparing higher or lower deductibles it’s not possible to get a fair rate comparison.

Can you really save if you switch?
Drivers constantly see and hear ads that promise big savings from companies such as State Farm and Allstate. All the ads make the same claim about savings if you just switch to their company.
Is it even possible that every company can claim to save you money?
Many companies have underwriting criteria for the type of driver that makes them money. An example of a profitable risk profile may need to be a mature driver, has no claims, and has great credit. Anyone that meets those criteria receives the best auto insurance rates and as a result will probably save a lot if they switch.
Potential insureds who do not meet this ideal profile may receive higher premiums which results in the customer not purchasing. The wording the ads use say “customers that switch” but not “all drivers who get quotes” save the amount stated. That’s the way companies can truthfully advertise the way they do.
Different companies use different criteria so it is so important to compare quotes as often as possible. It’s just too difficult to predict with any certainty which company will fit your personal profile best.
Why smart buyers pay less for Bentley Azure insurance
Many factors are considered when premium rates are determined. Some of the criteria are obvious like an MVR report, although some other factors are not as apparent such as whether you are married or your financial responsibility. It’s important that you understand some of the factors that are used to determine your policy premiums. If you understand what positively or negatively impacts your premiums, this allows you to make good choices that may reward you with much lower annual insurance costs.
- Married people drive safer – Having a significant other can actually save you money when buying insurance coverage. Having a significant other translates into being less irresponsible and it’s proven that married drivers get in fewer accidents.
- Never let your insurance coverage policy lapse – Letting your insurance expire can be a guaranteed way to drive up your policy premiums. And not only will your rates increase, failure to provide proof of insurance could result in a hefty fine and possibly a revoked license.
- How credit rating affects insurance coverage rates – An insured’s credit score can be an important factor in determining premium rates. If your credit is low, you could be paying less to insure your 2001 Bentley Azure by repairing your credit. Insureds with very good credit scores tend to be more responsible and file fewer claims as compared to drivers with worse credit.
- Liability risk factors in – The liability section of your policy will protect you if a jury decides you are liable for damages from an accident. Your liability coverage provides legal defense which can cost thousands of dollars. Carrying liability coverage is mandatory and cheap when compared to the cost of physical damage coverage, so buy as much as you can afford.
- Higher prices for specific employers – Did you know your occupation can influence how much you pay for insurance coverage? Jobs such as judgesairline pilots and miners generally have the highest rates in part from stressful work requirements and lengthy work days. On the flip side, occupations like farmers, historians and homemakers pay the least for Azure insurance.
- Premiums can change based on your address – Having an address in less populated areas has definite advantages when shopping for auto insurance. People who live in big cities have to deal with more road rage incidents and a longer drive to work. Less people living in that area corresponds to lower accident rates as well as less vandalism and auto theft.
- Safety ratings are a factor – Vehicles that have high safety ratings tend to have better insurance rates. The safest vehicles help reduce the chance of injuries in an accident and fewer injuries means less money paid by your insurance company and lower rates for you. If your Bentley Azure scored better than four stars on Safercar.gov or an “acceptable” rating on iihs.org you may pay a lower rate.
- Battle of the sexes – Over time, data shows women tend to be less risk to insure than men. That doesn’t necessarily mean that men are worse drivers. Males and females cause auto accidents in similar percentages, but males tend to have more serious accidents. Men also statistically receive more costly citations like driving under the influence (DUI). Youthful male drivers generally have the highest accident percentage so it costs more to insure them.
Double check you’re getting these premium-slashing discounts
Insurance can cost an arm and a leg, but there could be significant discounts to help bring down the price. Some of these disounts will be visible at the time of purchase, but some discounts are required to be asked for in order for you to get them. If they aren’t giving you every credit you qualify for, you are throwing money away.
- Discount for Multiple Policies – If you have multiple policies with one insurance company you could save 10% to 20% off each policy.
- E-sign – A few larger online companies will give a small break for buying a policy and signing up online.
- Senior Discount – Older drivers could receive a discount up to 10% for Azure insurance.
- Seat Belt Discounts – Drivers who always wear seat belts and also require passengers to buckle up could cut 10% or more off the medical payments premium.
- Multi-Vehicle Discounts – Drivers who insure multiple cars or trucks on one policy could earn a price break for each car.
- Driver Safety – Successfully completing a defensive driver class could cut 5% off your bill if your company offers it.
- Save with a New Car – Insuring a vehicle that is new may earn a small discount due to better safety requirements for newer vehicles.
- Low Mileage Discounts – Low annual miles can qualify you for lower prices due to less chance of an accident.
- Anti-theft System – Cars, trucks, and SUVs with anti-theft systems prevent vehicle theft and that can save you a little bit as well.
- Organization Discounts – Being in specific professional or occupational memberships or organizations may earn a discount on your bill.
Drivers should understand that most discounts do not apply to your bottom line cost. Most cut individual premiums such as liability, collision or medical payments. Even though it may seem like you could get a free auto insurance policy, companies wouldn’t make money that way.

Do I need special coverages?

- Is there coverage for injuries to my pets?

Car insurance 101
Learning about specific coverages of your car insurance policy can be of help when determining which coverages you need for your vehicles. Car insurance terms can be impossible to understand and nobody wants to actually read their policy. These are the normal coverages found on the average car insurance policy.
Coverage for liability – Liability insurance can cover injuries or damage you cause to other people or property. This insurance protects YOU from claims by other people. Liability doesn’t cover your injuries or vehicle damage.
Split limit liability has three limits of coverage: bodily injury for each person injured, bodily injury for the entire accident and a property damage limit. As an example, you may have values of 100/300/100 which stand for $100,000 bodily injury coverage, a limit of $300,000 in injury protection per accident, and property damage coverage for $100,000. Alternatively, you may have a combined single limit or CSL which combines the three limits into one amount with no separate limits for injury or property damage.
Liability insurance covers claims such as repair bills for other people’s vehicles, funeral expenses, court costs, bail bonds and loss of income. How much liability coverage do you need? That is up to you, but it’s cheap coverage so purchase as large an amount as possible.
Collision coverage – This pays for damage to your Azure resulting from colliding with another vehicle or an object, but not an animal. You will need to pay your deductible then your collision coverage will kick in.
Collision can pay for claims like sideswiping another vehicle, colliding with another moving vehicle, damaging your car on a curb, crashing into a ditch and colliding with a tree. Paying for collision coverage can be pricey, so analyze the benefit of dropping coverage from older vehicles. You can also bump up the deductible to bring the cost down.
Comprehensive coverage (or Other than Collision) – Comprehensive insurance coverage pays to fix your vehicle from damage caused by mother nature, theft, vandalism and other events. You first must pay your deductible then your comprehensive coverage will pay.
Comprehensive coverage pays for claims such as a tree branch falling on your vehicle, theft, rock chips in glass and vandalism. The maximum amount a car insurance company will pay at claim time is the ACV or actual cash value, so if it’s not worth much more than your deductible consider removing comprehensive coverage.
Insurance for medical payments – Medical payments and Personal Injury Protection insurance pay for expenses for surgery, ambulance fees, hospital visits and pain medications. They are often used to cover expenses not covered by your health insurance plan or if you lack health insurance entirely. Medical payments and PIP cover not only the driver but also the vehicle occupants and also covers being hit by a car walking across the street. Personal Injury Protection is not an option in every state but it provides additional coverages not offered by medical payments coverage
Uninsured Motorist or Underinsured Motorist insurance – Your UM/UIM coverage provides protection from other drivers when they are uninsured or don’t have enough coverage. This coverage pays for injuries to you and your family as well as damage to your Bentley Azure.
Because many people carry very low liability coverage limits, their limits can quickly be used up. This is the reason having UM/UIM coverage should not be overlooked. Usually your uninsured/underinsured motorist coverages are identical to your policy’s liability coverage.
Have money to burn
Cost effective 2001 Bentley Azure insurance can be found online and from local agencies, so you should be comparing quotes from both to get a complete price analysis. Some insurance companies do not provide online rate quotes and many times these smaller providers only sell coverage through local independent agencies.
As you prepare to switch companies, it’s not a good idea to reduce coverage to reduce premium. There are too many instances where drivers have reduced physical damage coverage and discovered at claim time that it was a big error on their part. Your goal should be to buy enough coverage at a price you can afford, but don’t skip important coverages to save money.
