Trying to find cheaper auto insurance rates for your Suzuki Kizashi? Consumers who are new to comparison shopping online are likely to discover buying low cost auto insurance is harder than it needs to be.
It is always a good idea to do price comparisons before your policy renews because auto insurance prices are variable and change quite frequently. If you had the best rates for Kizashi coverage a couple years back you may be paying too much now. Forget anything you know (or think you know) about auto insurance because I’m going to teach you the things you must know in order to lower your annual insurance bill.
The method we recommend to compare car insurance company rates is to know the fact most of the bigger providers provide online access to give you rate quotes. To get started, all you need to do is provide a small amount of information like if you’re married, if you have an active license, if you went to college, and an estimate of your credit level. Your information is sent automatically to many of the top insurers and they return rate quotes with very little delay.
Save a ton with these discounts
Some insurers don’t always publicize every available discount very well, so we took the time to find a few of the more well known and the harder-to-find car insurance savings.
- Discount for Multiple Policies – When you have multiple policies with the same company you could get a discount of over 10 percent off each policy depending on the company.
- Include Life Insurance and Save – Select companies reward you with a discount if you purchase life insurance from them.
- First Accident Forgiveness – Not a discount per se, but some companies like Libery Mutual, Geico and Allstate will turn a blind eye to one accident without getting socked with a rate hike with the catch being you have to be claim-free before the accident.
- Senior Citizen Rates – Drivers over the age of 55 may qualify for lower premium rates for Kizashi coverage.
- Full Payment Discount – By paying your entire bill at once instead of paying each month you can avoid the installment charge.
- Early Switch Discount – A few companies offer discounts for switching to them prior to the expiration date on your current policy. It’s a savings of about 10%.
- Professional Organizations – Being a member of a qualifying organization could earn you a nice discount when shopping for car insurance.
- Telematics Data Discounts – People who choose to allow data collection to scrutinize when and where they use their vehicle by installing a telematics device like Drivewise from Allstate or In-Drive from State Farm could see a rate decrease if their driving habits are good.
- Smart Student Discounts – Performing well in school may save you up to 25%. The good student discount can last up until you turn 25.
As is typical with insurance, most discount credits are not given the the whole policy. A few only apply to specific coverage prices like liability, collision or medical payments. So even though they make it sound like all the discounts add up to a free policy, it doesn’t quite work that way. But all discounts will reduce the amount you pay for coverage.
Some companies who might offer some of the above discounts include:
Check with each insurance company which discounts you qualify for. Some of the discounts discussed earlier may not apply in your state. To locate companies that can offer you the previously mentioned discounts, click here.

Car insurance can be complex
When it comes to choosing proper insurance coverage for your personal vehicles, there really is no best way to insure your cars. Your needs are not the same as everyone else’s.
For example, these questions might point out whether you would benefit from professional advice.
- Is my state a no-fault state?
- Am I covered by my employer’s commercial auto policy when driving my personal car for business?
- Do I need added coverage for expensive stereo equipment?
- Is there coverage for injuries to my pets?
- Do I benefit by insuring my home with the same company?
- Should I have a commercial auto policy?
- Should I file a claim if it’s only slightly more than my deductible?
- Do I need replacement cost coverage?
- How high should deductibles be on a 2011 Suzuki Kizashi?
If you don’t know the answers to these questions but you know they apply to you, then you may want to think about talking to a licensed insurance agent. To find lower rates from a local agent, fill out this quick form.
Learn about insurance coverages for a Suzuki Kizashi
Learning about specific coverages of your policy aids in choosing appropriate coverage at the best deductibles and correct limits. The terms used in a policy can be ambiguous and nobody wants to actually read their policy.
Medical expense coverage
Med pay and PIP coverage provide coverage for immediate expenses for things like prosthetic devices, surgery, funeral costs and ambulance fees. They are often used to fill the gap from your health insurance plan or if you are not covered by health insurance. Medical payments and PIP cover both the driver and occupants and will also cover if you are hit as a while walking down the street. PIP coverage is only offered in select states and may carry a deductible
Uninsured or underinsured coverage
This coverage protects you and your vehicle from other motorists when they either have no liability insurance or not enough. It can pay for medical payments for you and your occupants and damage to your Suzuki Kizashi.
Since many drivers carry very low liability coverage limits, their limits can quickly be used up. For this reason, having high UM/UIM coverages is very important. Most of the time the UM/UIM limits are identical to your policy’s liability coverage.
Comprehensive protection
This covers damage that is not covered by collision coverage. You first must pay your deductible and then insurance will cover the rest of the damage.
Comprehensive coverage protects against things like damage from a tornado or hurricane, hitting a deer, damage from flooding, falling objects and hitting a bird. The highest amount you can receive from a comprehensive claim is the actual cash value, so if the vehicle is not worth much it’s not worth carrying full coverage.
Auto liability insurance
This can cover damages or injuries you inflict on a person or their property that is your fault. It protects you from claims by other people, and does not provide coverage for damage sustained by your vehicle in an accident.
Split limit liability has three limits of coverage: bodily injury for each person, bodily injury for the entire accident, and a limit for property damage. You might see values of 25/50/25 which stand for a limit of $25,000 per injured person, $50,000 for the entire accident, and property damage coverage for $25,000. Another option is one limit called combined single limit (CSL) which provides one coverage limit with no separate limits for injury or property damage.
Liability can pay for claims like bail bonds, court costs, repair bills for other people’s vehicles, legal defense fees and attorney fees. How much coverage you buy is your choice, but buy as high a limit as you can afford.
Collision coverage protection
Collision insurance covers damage to your Kizashi from colliding with a stationary object or other vehicle. A deductible applies and then insurance will cover the remainder.
Collision coverage pays for things such as hitting a mailbox, damaging your car on a curb, sideswiping another vehicle, colliding with another moving vehicle and sustaining damage from a pot hole. Collision is rather expensive coverage, so you might think about dropping it from vehicles that are older. Drivers also have the option to raise the deductible to get cheaper collision coverage.
