Trying to find lower auto insurance rates for your Suzuki Equator? Are you regretting the purchase of an expensive auto insurance policy? Trust us, there are lots of residents who feel the same. Many insurers vie for your insurance dollar, and because of this it can be hard to compare insurers and get the definite lowest price
If you have insurance now or are looking for a new policy, you can learn to reduce the price you pay while maximizing coverage. Choosing the best insurance company for you is not rocket science. Consumers only need an understanding of the proper way to shop their coverage around on the web.
Buy insurance online
There are a variety of methods to compare insurance quotes, and some are more efficient than others. You can waste a lot of time talking to insurance companies in your area, or you could save time and use the web to get rate comparisons in just a few minutes.
Most of the best insurance companies belong to an insurance system that allows shoppers to enter their policy data once, and at least one company can give them a price based on that data. This eliminates the need for form submissions to each individual insurance company.

The only drawback to getting quotes like this is buyers cannot specifically choose which carriers to get pricing from. So if you prefer to pick specific providers to request quotes from, we have assembled a list of companies who write insurance in your area. Click to view list.
You can use whichever method you prefer to find lower rates, just do your best to use nearly identical coverages for each quote you get. If each company quotes different limits and deductibles on each one it will be very difficult to truly determine the lowest rate.

You are unique and your insurance should be too
When it comes to buying the right insurance coverage, there really is not a “perfect” insurance plan. Everyone’s needs are different and your policy should reflect that. For instance, these questions may help you determine whether you may require specific advice.
- Am I insured when driving a different vehicle?
- What is the ISO rating for a 2012 Suzuki Equator?
- Does my car insurance cover rental cars?
- Is motorclub coverage worth it?
- Is my 2012 Suzuki Equator covered for smoke damage?
- Does my policy pay for OEM or aftermarket parts?
If you don’t know the answers to these questions but a few of them apply, you might consider talking to a licensed insurance agent. To find lower rates from a local agent, fill out this quick form or you can go here for a list of companies in your area. It only takes a few minutes and can provide invaluable advice.
What car insurance coverages do you need?
Learning about specific coverages of a car insurance policy helps when choosing appropriate coverage and the correct deductibles and limits. Policy terminology can be impossible to understand and coverage can change by endorsement. These are the normal coverages found on the average car insurance policy.
Medical payments coverage and PIP – Coverage for medical payments and/or PIP kick in for short-term medical expenses for pain medications, EMT expenses, prosthetic devices, rehabilitation expenses and funeral costs. They can be used in conjunction with a health insurance policy or if there is no health insurance coverage. Coverage applies to not only the driver but also the vehicle occupants and will also cover getting struck while a pedestrian. PIP coverage is not universally available but can be used in place of medical payments coverage
Collision coverages – Collision coverage covers damage to your Equator resulting from a collision with another car or object. You first must pay a deductible then your collision coverage will kick in.
Collision can pay for claims such as driving through your garage door, crashing into a ditch, sideswiping another vehicle, scraping a guard rail and backing into a parked car. This coverage can be expensive, so consider removing coverage from vehicles that are 8 years or older. Another option is to choose a higher deductible to save money on collision insurance.
Uninsured/Underinsured Motorist coverage – This coverage provides protection from other drivers when they either have no liability insurance or not enough. Covered losses include medical payments for you and your occupants as well as your vehicle’s damage.
Because many people only purchase the least amount of liability that is required, their liability coverage can quickly be exhausted. For this reason, having high UM/UIM coverages is important protection for you and your family.
Coverage for liability – Liability insurance provides protection from injuries or damage you cause to other’s property or people in an accident. This coverage protects you from legal claims by others, and does not provide coverage for your injuries or vehicle damage.
Coverage consists of three different limits, per person bodily injury, per accident bodily injury, and a property damage limit. You might see limits of 25/50/25 which stand for $25,000 in coverage for each person’s injuries, a total of $50,000 of bodily injury coverage per accident, and $25,000 of coverage for damaged propery.
Liability coverage protects against things such as court costs, attorney fees, funeral expenses, structural damage and bail bonds. How much liability coverage do you need? That is a personal decision, but consider buying as high a limit as you can afford.
Comprehensive coverage – Comprehensive insurance will pay to fix damage that is not covered by collision coverage. You first must pay your deductible and then insurance will cover the rest of the damage.
Comprehensive can pay for things like rock chips in glass, hitting a deer and hitting a bird. The most you’ll receive from a claim is the cash value of the vehicle, so if the vehicle is not worth much it’s probably time to drop comprehensive insurance.
