Want the cheapest auto insurance rates for your Cadillac CTS Coupe? Are you at wits end from sacrificing to pay your auto insurance bill each month? You are no different than most other people. Multiple auto insurance companies compete for your hard-earned dollar, and it can be difficult to compare rates and get the best coverage at the cheapest price
Get cheaper car insurance with discounts
Car insurance companies don’t list every available discount very clearly, so the following is a list of some of the best known and also the more inconspicuous credits that may apply to you. If you don’t get every credit you deserve, you are paying more than you should be.
- Senior Citizens – If you’re over the age of 55, you can get lower premium rates for CTS Coupe insurance.
- Anti-theft Discount – Cars that have factory anti-theft systems have a lower chance of being stolen and will save you 10% or more.
- Passenger Safety Discount – Factory options such as air bags or automatic seat belts can receive discounts of more than 20%.
- Cautious Driver Discount – Insureds without accidents could pay up to 40% less for CTS Coupe insurance than drivers with accidents.
- Distant Student Discount – Kids who are enrolled in higher education away from home and do not have access to a covered vehicle can be insured at a reduced rate.
- Clubs and Organizations – Having an affiliation with qualifying employment or professional organizations can get you a small discount on car insurance.
One thing to note about discounts is that some of the credits will not apply to the overall cost of the policy. The majority will only reduce the cost of specific coverages such as medical payments or collision. Despite the fact that it seems like all the discounts add up to a free policy, insurance companies wouldn’t stay in business.
A list of companies and the discounts they provide are:
- Progressive may have discounts that include online quote discount, homeowner, online signing, good student, multi-vehicle, multi-policy, and continuous coverage.
- The Hartford offers discounts including good student, anti-theft, defensive driver, bundle, driver training, air bag, and vehicle fuel type.
- Mercury Insurance may include discounts for low natural disaster claims, ease of repair, accident-free, professional/association, and anti-theft.
- Geico has discounts for driver training, air bags, emergency military deployment, five-year accident-free, and membership and employees.
- AAA may offer discounts for education and occupation, good student, multi-policy, multi-car, anti-theft, pay-in-full, and AAA membership discount.
- State Farm includes discounts for driver’s education, student away at school, multiple policy, safe vehicle, good driver, and passive restraint.

Compare insurance coverage quotes online
Shopping for lower insurance coverage rates can take time and effort if you don’t understand the most efficient way to do it. You can waste a lot of time talking to agents in your area, or you could use the internet to get the quickest rates.
All the larger companies enroll in a system where insurance shoppers submit one quote, and every company provides a quote for coverage. This saves time by eliminating quote requests for each company you want a rate for.
To enter your information into the quoting system, click here to start a free quote.
One minor caviat to comparing rates this way is you can’t choose the providers to get quotes from. So if you prefer to pick individual companies to receive pricing from, we have a listing of the cheapest insurance coverage companies in your area. Click to view list.
It’s up to you how you get prices quotes, just be sure you’re using the same information on every quote. If each company quotes different limits and deductibles on each one you can’t possibly truly determine the lowest rate.
Tailor your car insurance coverage to you
When it comes to choosing coverage for your personal vehicles, there really is no one size fits all plan. Every situation is different so your insurance should reflect that For example, these questions might help in determining whether or not you might need an agent’s assistance.
- Should I put collision coverage on all my vehicles?
- Is business property covered if stolen from my car?
- Are my friends covered when driving my car?
- What should my uninsured motorist coverage limits be in my state?
- Are my tools covered if they get stolen from my vehicle?
- What is roadside assistance coverage?
- Do I need PIP (personal injury protection) coverage in my state?
If you can’t answer these questions, you might consider talking to an agent. To find lower rates from a local agent, fill out this quick form or click here for a list of car insurance companies in your area. It is quick, free and can help protect your family.
Auto insurance coverages
Having a good grasp of your policy helps when choosing the right coverages for your vehicles. Insurance terms can be difficult to understand and coverage can change by endorsement. These are the usual coverages available from insurance companies.
Auto liability – Liability coverage protects you from damage or injury you incur to a person or their property. It protects you against claims from other people, and does not provide coverage for your own vehicle damage or injuries.
It consists of three limits, bodily injury per person, bodily injury per accident and property damage. As an example, you may have limits of 50/100/50 that translate to $50,000 in coverage for each person’s injuries, a per accident bodily injury limit of $100,000, and property damage coverage for $50,000.
Liability insurance covers claims like repair bills for other people’s vehicles, repair costs for stationary objects, pain and suffering and legal defense fees. How much liability should you purchase? That is a decision to put some thought into, but it’s cheap coverage so purchase as large an amount as possible.
Insurance for medical payments – Personal Injury Protection (PIP) and medical payments coverage provide coverage for bills for doctor visits, dental work, pain medications and funeral costs. The coverages can be used in conjunction with a health insurance policy or if there is no health insurance coverage. They cover you and your occupants in addition to being hit by a car walking across the street. PIP coverage is not an option in every state and may carry a deductible
Comprehensive coverage (or Other than Collision) – Comprehensive insurance pays for damage from a wide range of events other than collision. You need to pay your deductible first and then insurance will cover the rest of the damage.
Comprehensive can pay for claims such as theft, rock chips in glass and vandalism. The most you’ll receive from a claim is the cash value of the vehicle, so if the vehicle’s value is low consider dropping full coverage.
Collision coverage – This coverage will pay to fix damage to your CTS Coupe from colliding with another car or object. A deductible applies then your collision coverage will kick in.
Collision can pay for things like sustaining damage from a pot hole, colliding with another moving vehicle, hitting a mailbox, colliding with a tree and driving through your garage door. Collision coverage makes up a good portion of your premium, so analyze the benefit of dropping coverage from lower value vehicles. You can also increase the deductible to save money on collision insurance.
Uninsured Motorist or Underinsured Motorist insurance – Your UM/UIM coverage protects you and your vehicle’s occupants from other drivers when they are uninsured or don’t have enough coverage. Covered losses include medical payments for you and your occupants as well as damage to your 2013 Cadillac CTS Coupe.
Since a lot of drivers have only the minimum liability required by law, their limits can quickly be used up. That’s why carrying high Uninsured/Underinsured Motorist coverage is very important.
