Trying to find better insurance rates for your Infiniti QX70? Paying for pricey Infiniti QX70 insurance can sap your personal savings and force you to make sacrifices. Performing a price comparison can save money and help to cut your insurance bill.
Many auto insurance companies vie for your hard-earned dollar, so it can be very hard to choose a insurer to discover the definitive cheapest price
How to shop auto insurance online
There are several ways you can shop for auto insurance but some are less labor-intensive and much quicker. You could waste time discussing policy coverages with local insurance agents in your area, or you could use the internet to get rate comparisons in just a few minutes.
Most of the best insurance companies take part in a program where prospective buyers enter their policy data once, and each company can provide price quotes based on the submitted data. This eliminates the need for quote requests to every company. To submit your quote information now, click here (opens in new window).
One minor caviat to doing it this way is you cannot specify the providers you will receive quotes from. So if you prefer to pick specific providers to request quotes from, we put together a list of low cost auto insurance companies in your area. Click here for list of insurance companies.
You can choose any of those ways to find more affodable coverage, but be sure to compare identical coverage limits for every quote you compare. If your comparisons have different limits and deductibles on each one you will not be able to truly determine the lowest rate. Quoting even small variations in coverages could throw off the whole comparison. And when comparing auto insurance rates, know that obtaining a wide range of quotes helps locate lower pricing.

Beware of misleading auto insurance ads
Auto insurance providers like Geico, State Farm and Progressive constantly bombard you with ads on television and other media. They all have a common claim that drivers can save some big amount just by moving your policy. But how can every company give you a better price? It’s all in the words they use.
All the different companies look for specific characteristics for the type of driver that earns them the highest profit. For example, a desirable insured might be a married male, has no tickets, and has excellent credit. Any driver who meets those qualifications will probably get the lowest premium rates and is almost guaranteed to save some money.
Insureds who are not a match for those standards will have to pay higher prices which usually ends up with the driver buying from a lower-cost company. The ad wording is “customers that switch” not “everybody who quotes” can save as much as they claim. That’s the way insurance companies can advertise the way they do. This emphasizes why drivers must compare many company’s rates. It is impossible to predict which auto insurance company will fit you best based on your risk profile.
Lower your insurance coverage rates with these nine discounts
Some insurers do not list every policy discount very well, so the list below gives a summary of both the well known in addition to some of the lesser obvious discounts that you can inquire about if you buy insurance online.
- First Accident Forgiveness – This one is not really a discount per se, but companies like Progressive and Allstate may permit one accident before raising your premiums with the catch being you have to be claim-free for a specific time period.
- Air Bags and Passive Restraints – Vehicles equipped with air bags or automatic seat belts could see savings of 20 to 30 percent.
- Seat Belts Save – Using a seat belt and requiring all passengers to use their safety belts can save a little off the medical payments premium.
- Driver Education Discount – Cut your cost by having your teen driver sucessfully take a drivers education course as it will make them better drivers and lower rates.
- Bundled Policy Discount – If you can bundle your homeowners and auto insurance and place coverage with the same company you may save up to 20% and get you affordable insurance.
- Early Payment Discounts – If you can afford to pay the entire bill instead of making monthly payments you may reduce your total bill.
- More Vehicles More Savings – Having more than one vehicle with the same company could earn a price break for each car.
- Low Mileage – Low annual miles may allow you to get better rates on cars that stay parked.
- Federal Employees – Having worked for a branch of the government could cut as much as 10% off for QX70 coverage depending on your insurance coverage provider.
You can save money using discounts, but most credits do not apply the the whole policy. Most only reduce specific coverage prices like comp or med pay. So when it seems like all those discounts means the company will pay you, you aren’t that lucky.
Larger insurance coverage companies and some of their more popular discounts are included below.
- Progressive has discounts for good student, online quote discount, online signing, continuous coverage, multi-policy, multi-vehicle, and homeowner.
- Farmers Insurance includes discounts for homeowner, business and professional, alternative fuel, pay in full, good student, switch companies, and distant student.
- Farm Bureau offers premium reductions for multi-vehicle, youthful driver, multi-policy, safe driver, renewal discount, and good student.
- State Farm policyholders can earn discounts including passive restraint, anti-theft, accident-free, driver’s education, and multiple policy.
- Geico offers discounts for emergency military deployment, membership and employees, driver training, multi-vehicle, anti-lock brakes, and daytime running lights.
- SAFECO has savings for safe driver, teen safe driver, bundle discounts, teen safety rewards, homeowner, and drive less.
- Liberty Mutual may have discounts that include newly married, multi-policy, newly retired, exclusive group savings, teen driver discount, new graduate, and hybrid vehicle.
Double check with every prospective company how many discounts you can get. Some discounts listed above may not apply in your state. To see a list of insurance companies that provide some of the discounts listed above, click here to view.
You are unique and your insurance coverage should be too
When buying the best insurance coverage coverage, there really is not a single plan that fits everyone. Everyone’s needs are different so this has to be addressed. For instance, these questions can aid in determining if your situation may require specific advice.
- I have health insurance so do I need medical payments coverage?
- Are all vehicle passengers covered by medical payments coverage?
- How much liability insurance is required?
- Am I covered when driving someone else’s vehicle?
- How high should my uninsured/underinsured coverage be in my state?
- Is rental equipment covered for theft or damage?
If you can’t answer these questions but a few of them apply, then you may want to think about talking to an agent. To find lower rates from a local agent, simply complete this short form or click here for a list of insurance coverage companies in your area.

What insurance coverages do you need?
Having a good grasp of insurance can be of help when determining the right coverages and proper limits and deductibles. Insurance terms can be ambiguous and nobody wants to actually read their policy. Shown next are typical coverage types offered by insurance companies.
Coverage for uninsured or underinsured drivers – This protects you and your vehicle from other motorists when they are uninsured or don’t have enough coverage. This coverage pays for medical payments for you and your occupants as well as your vehicle’s damage.
Because many people only carry the minimum required liability limits, it doesn’t take a major accident to exceed their coverage limits. That’s why carrying high Uninsured/Underinsured Motorist coverage is a good idea.
Liability auto insurance – Liability insurance protects you from damage that occurs to other’s property or people by causing an accident. It protects YOU from claims by other people, and doesn’t cover your own vehicle damage or injuries.
Liability coverage has three limits: bodily injury per person, bodily injury per accident and property damage. As an example, you may have values of 50/100/50 that translate to $50,000 bodily injury coverage, a limit of $100,000 in injury protection per accident, and property damage coverage for $50,000.
Liability coverage protects against things like attorney fees, bail bonds and loss of income. How much coverage you buy is a personal decision, but it’s cheap coverage so purchase as much as you can afford.
Comprehensive insurance – Comprehensive insurance covers damage from a wide range of events other than collision. You first have to pay a deductible then your comprehensive coverage will pay.
Comprehensive coverage protects against things like falling objects, damage from flooding and a broken windshield. The maximum amount your insurance company will pay is the ACV or actual cash value, so if your deductible is as high as the vehicle’s value consider removing comprehensive coverage.
Coverage for medical expenses – Medical payments and Personal Injury Protection insurance provide coverage for short-term medical expenses for things like X-ray expenses, nursing services, chiropractic care, surgery and doctor visits. They are utilized in addition to your health insurance policy or if there is no health insurance coverage. Medical payments and PIP cover you and your occupants in addition to any family member struck as a pedestrian. Personal injury protection coverage is not an option in every state and may carry a deductible
Collision coverage – Collision insurance pays for damage to your QX70 caused by collision with a stationary object or other vehicle. A deductible applies and then insurance will cover the remainder.
Collision insurance covers things such as damaging your car on a curb, rolling your car and hitting a mailbox. Paying for collision coverage can be pricey, so consider dropping it from lower value vehicles. You can also choose a higher deductible to bring the cost down.
You can do this!
As you quote insurance, it’s not a good idea to buy lower coverage limits just to save a few bucks. There are many occasions where drivers have reduced collision coverage only to regret at claim time that saving that couple of dollars actually costed them tens of thousands. The goal is to buy a smart amount of coverage at an affordable rate and still be able to protect your assets.
Cheaper 2014 Infiniti QX70 insurance can be sourced from both online companies and with local insurance agents, and you should compare rates from both in order to have the best chance of saving money. Some insurance companies do not provide rate quotes online and most of the time these smaller companies provide coverage only through local independent agents.
