Looking for cheaper insurance rates for your Audi S8? Consumers not familiar with shopping for insurance coverage online may find buying affordable auto insurance can be quite challenging.
Consumers need to check insurance prices at least once a year because insurance prices change quite often. Just because you found the lowest rates on S8 insurance on your last policy you can probably find a lower rate today. Block out anything you think you know about insurance because you’re about to learn the tricks you need to know to reduce your cost while improving coverage.
These seven discounts can slash auto insurance rates
Auto insurance companies do not list every discount they offer in a way that’s easy to find, so below is a list both the well known and also the lesser-known discounts that you may qualify for.
- Early Renewal Discounts – Some insurance companies provide a discount for signing up early. The savings is around 10%.
- Driver’s Ed – Teen drivers should complete a driver education course if offered at their school.
- Paperless Signup – A few larger online companies will give a small break for buying a policy and signing up online.
- 55 and Retired – Mature drivers are able to get lower premium rates on S8 insurance.
- Resident Student – Older children who live away from home to go to college and won’t have access to an insured vehicle could get you a discount.
- Defensive Driver – Successfully completing a course teaching defensive driving skills could cut 5% off your bill if your company offers it.
- Own a Home – Simply owning a home can save a few bucks because of the fact that having a home means you have a higher level of financial diligence.
One last thing about discounts, many deductions do not apply to the entire cost. The majority will only reduce specific coverage prices like liability and collision coverage. Even though it may seem like adding up those discounts means a free policy, you aren’t that lucky.

When do I need an agent’s advice?
When choosing the best car insurance coverage, there is no “best” method to buy coverage. Each situation is unique.
For instance, these questions may help highlight whether you might need an agent’s assistance.
- Am I covered if I hit my neighbor’s mailbox?
- Do I need an umbrella policy?
- What are the financial responsibility laws in my state?
- Do all my vehicles need collision coverage?
- I have health insurance so do I need medical payments coverage?
- At what point should I drop full coverage?
- Is my trailer covered?
- Do I have coverage when using my vehicle for my home business?
If you don’t know the answers to these questions, then you may want to think about talking to a licensed insurance agent. If you don’t have a local agent, simply complete this short form.
Auto insurance coverage information
Learning about specific coverages of your auto insurance policy can be of help when determining appropriate coverage at the best deductibles and correct limits. Auto insurance terms can be confusing and reading a policy is terribly boring.
Medical payments coverage and PIP
Personal Injury Protection (PIP) and medical payments coverage pay for expenses for things like hospital visits, funeral costs, rehabilitation expenses, EMT expenses and prosthetic devices. They are often used to fill the gap from your health insurance policy or if you are not covered by health insurance. It covers you and your occupants and also covers getting struck while a pedestrian. Personal Injury Protection is not an option in every state and may carry a deductible
Collision coverage protection
Collision insurance will pay to fix damage to your S8 resulting from a collision with another car or object. You have to pay a deductible and the rest of the damage will be paid by collision coverage.
Collision coverage protects against claims such as hitting a parking meter, crashing into a building, rolling your car, colliding with another moving vehicle and driving through your garage door. Paying for collision coverage can be pricey, so analyze the benefit of dropping coverage from vehicles that are older. You can also raise the deductible to bring the cost down.
Comprehensive coverage
This pays for damage from a wide range of events other than collision. You first have to pay a deductible then the remaining damage will be covered by your comprehensive coverage.
Comprehensive coverage pays for claims such as a tree branch falling on your vehicle, hitting a deer and damage from a tornado or hurricane. The most your auto insurance company will pay is the market value of your vehicle, so if it’s not worth much more than your deductible consider removing comprehensive coverage.
Coverage for liability
Liability insurance protects you from damage that occurs to other people or property in an accident. This insurance protects YOU against other people’s claims. It does not cover your own vehicle damage or injuries.
It consists of three limits, per person bodily injury, per accident bodily injury, and a property damage limit. You commonly see liability limits of 100/300/100 which means $100,000 in coverage for each person’s injuries, $300,000 for the entire accident, and property damage coverage for $100,000. Alternatively, you may have a combined limit which provides one coverage limit with no separate limits for injury or property damage.
Liability coverage pays for claims like loss of income, legal defense fees, emergency aid, repair costs for stationary objects and funeral expenses. The amount of liability coverage you purchase is a decision to put some thought into, but buy as large an amount as possible.
Uninsured/Underinsured Motorist coverage
This coverage protects you and your vehicle from other motorists when they do not carry enough liability coverage. It can pay for injuries to you and your family as well as your vehicle’s damage.
Since many drivers only carry the minimum required liability limits, their limits can quickly be used up. This is the reason having UM/UIM coverage should not be overlooked. Normally these limits are set the same as your liablity limits.
Find Good Coverage for Less
People change insurance companies for any number of reasons including extreme rates for teen drivers, poor customer service, denial of a claim or not issuing a premium refund. It doesn’t matter what your reason, finding the right car insurance provider is easier than you think.
Some insurance providers do not offer online price quotes and these small insurance companies work with local independent agencies. Discount 2015 Audi S8 insurance can be bought on the web in addition to local insurance agencies, so you should compare both so you have a total pricing picture.
As you go through the steps to switch your coverage, make sure you don’t skimp on critical coverages to save a buck or two. Too many times, an insured cut comprehensive coverage or liability limits and discovered at claim time they didn’t purchase enough coverage. Your goal is to purchase plenty of coverage at the best price, but do not sacrifice coverage to save money.
