Looking for cheaper insurance rates? Shoppers have many options when shopping for the lowest priced Mercedes-Benz Maybach insurance. You can either waste hours struggling with agents getting price quotes or utilize the internet to compare rates.
There is a better way to find insurance online and we’ll show you the best way to quote coverages on a Mercedes-Benz and obtain the cheapest rates from local insurance agents and online providers.
The purpose of this article is to teach you how car insurance quotes work and some tips to save money. If you currently have a car insurance policy, you will most likely be able to lower your premiums substantially using these techniques. Vehicle owners just need to know the most effective way to compare price quotes online.
How to shop auto insurance online
There are several ways you can shop for auto insurance but some are less labor-intensive and much quicker. You can waste a lot of time talking to insurance agencies in your area, or you could use the internet to get prices fast.
Most major companies belong to an insurance system where prospective buyers submit their information once, and every company returns a competitive quote. This eliminates the need for quote forms to each individual auto insurance company.
To submit your quote information now, click here (opens in new window).
The one disadvantage to getting quotes like this is you are unable to specify which companies to get quotes from. If you prefer to choose specific insurance companies to compare, we have a page of the cheapest auto insurance companies in your area. View list of insurance companies.
You can choose any of those ways to find more affodable coverage, but make sure you use the exact same coverage limits on every quote you get. If you have different coverage information then you won’t be able to get a fair rate comparison.

Discounts to earn cheap insurance rates
Car insurance can cost a lot, but companies offer discounts that could help you make your next renewal payment. Certain discounts will be applied at the time of quoting, but a few need to be specially asked for before you get the savings.
- Own a Home – Being a homeowner can save a few bucks because of the fact that having a home demonstrates responsibility.
- Driver’s Education for Students – Require your teen driver to participate in a local driver’s education class if offered at their school.
- Discount for Good Grades – Being a good student can earn a discount of 20% or more. The good student discount can last up to age 25.
- Pay Upfront and Save – If paying your policy premium upfront instead of monthly or quarterly installments you could save up to 5%.
- Multiple Cars – Buying a policy with multiple cars with the same insurance company can get a discount for every vehicle.
- Discount for Passive Restraints – Cars that have air bags or automatic seat belts may qualify for discounts of 20 to 30 percent.
- Safety Course Discount – Taking a class that teaches defensive driving techniques can save you 5% or more if your company offers it.
- Good Drivers – Drivers who don’t get into accidents can save as much as half off their rates for Maybach insurance than their less cautious counterparts.
A quick disclaimer, many deductions do not apply to all coverage premiums. Most only cut specific coverage prices like liability, collision or medical payments. Even though it appears you can get free auto insurance, that’s just not realistic.
Large insurance companies and a summarized list of policyholder discounts are:
- 21st Century offers discounts for homeowners, 55 and older, air bags, automatic seat belts, and theft prevention.
- State Farm discounts include Drive Safe & Save, defensive driving training, student away at school, passive restraint, and good student.
- AAA may offer discounts for good student, good driver, anti-theft, education and occupation, AAA membership discount, and pay-in-full.
- Liberty Mutual includes discounts for new move discount, new vehicle discount, safety features, multi-policy, preferred payment discount, exclusive group savings, and good student.
- Progressive may have discounts that include online quote discount, good student, homeowner, online signing, multi-vehicle, and multi-policy.
If you are trying to find the cheapest insurance quotes, ask each company or agent to give you their best rates. Some of the earlier mentioned discounts might not apply in your area. For a list of providers that provide some of the discounts listed above, click here to view.
Tailor your car insurance coverage to you
When buying the best car insurance coverage, there isn’t really a “best” method to buy coverage. Each situation is unique.
Here are some questions about coverages that could help you determine whether your personal situation will benefit from professional help.
- Is my nanny covered when driving my vehicle?
- Do I have coverage if my license is suspended?
- How much underlying liability do I need for an umbrella policy?
- Is my custom paint covered by insurance?
- Do I need to file an SR-22 for a DUI in my state?
- Can I rate high risk drivers on liability-only vehicles?
- What is the rate difference between pleasure use and commuting?
- Am I covered by my spouse’s policy after a separation?
- Do I have any recourse if my insurance company denies a claim?
If it’s difficult to answer those questions, you may need to chat with an insurance agent. To find lower rates from a local agent, complete this form. It only takes a few minutes and can help protect your family.
Auto insurance coverage specifics
Understanding the coverages of auto insurance can help you determine appropriate coverage at the best deductibles and correct limits. Auto insurance terms can be ambiguous and even agents have difficulty translating policy wording.
Protection from uninsured/underinsured drivers – Your UM/UIM coverage gives you protection when the “other guys” do not carry enough liability coverage. It can pay for hospital bills for your injuries and also any damage incurred to your 2016 Mercedes-Benz Maybach.
Because many people only carry the minimum required liability limits, it only takes a small accident to exceed their coverage. So UM/UIM coverage is very important. Usually these limits are identical to your policy’s liability coverage.
Comprehensive (Other than Collision) – This coverage will pay to fix damage that is not covered by collision coverage. You need to pay your deductible first then the remaining damage will be covered by your comprehensive coverage.
Comprehensive insurance covers things like a tree branch falling on your vehicle, falling objects, hail damage and a broken windshield. The most your auto insurance company will pay is the actual cash value, so if your deductible is as high as the vehicle’s value it’s probably time to drop comprehensive insurance.
Collision – This covers damage to your Maybach resulting from a collision with another vehicle or an object, but not an animal. You will need to pay your deductible and then insurance will cover the remainder.
Collision can pay for things such as backing into a parked car, crashing into a building, scraping a guard rail and crashing into a ditch. Collision is rather expensive coverage, so consider removing coverage from older vehicles. You can also increase the deductible in order to get cheaper collision rates.
Liability – This coverage can cover injuries or damage you cause to other people or property in an accident. This coverage protects you against claims from other people, and doesn’t cover damage sustained by your vehicle in an accident.
It consists of three limits, bodily injury per person, bodily injury per accident and property damage. You might see values of 25/50/25 that means you have $25,000 in coverage for each person’s injuries, a total of $50,000 of bodily injury coverage per accident, and a limit of $25,000 paid for damaged property. Some companies may use one number which is a combined single limit which combines the three limits into one amount rather than limiting it on a per person basis.
Liability coverage pays for claims such as court costs, bail bonds, repair bills for other people’s vehicles, attorney fees and emergency aid. The amount of liability coverage you purchase is a decision to put some thought into, but you should buy as much as you can afford.
Medical expense insurance – Med pay and PIP coverage kick in for immediate expenses like hospital visits, funeral costs, chiropractic care and prosthetic devices. The coverages can be used to cover expenses not covered by your health insurance policy or if there is no health insurance coverage. Coverage applies to all vehicle occupants and also covers getting struck while a pedestrian. PIP coverage is only offered in select states and may carry a deductible
