Paying cheap premium rates for insurance coverage can be very difficult for people not familiar with comparison shopping online. Because there are so many companies competing online, it can quickly become a ton of work to compare premium rates.
Compare quotes for insurance coverage
All major insurance coverage companies provide pricing on the web. This process is fairly simple because you just enter the amount of coverage you want on the page. Behind the scenes, their rating system requests your driving and credit reports and provides a quote based on the data you entered.
Quoting online makes it easy to compare insurance prices but having to visit a lot of sites and type in your information is repetitive and time-consuming. But it’s necessary to get many rate quotes in order to find better insurance coverage pricing.
There is a better way!
The preferred way to find cheaper rates uses one form that gets price quotes from multiple companies. The form is fast, eliminates repetitive work, and makes comparison shopping much more efficient. After your information is entered, it gets priced and you can choose any of the quote results.
If one or more price quotes are lower than your current rates, it’s easy to complete the application and purchase the new policy. The entire process takes 15 minutes at the most and can result in significant savings.
To quickly find out what other companies charge, simply click here to open in new window and begin entering your coverage information. If you have your current policy handy, we recommend you type in the limits and deductibles as shown on your current policy. Doing this assures you will have a price comparison using the exact same coverages.

Get affordable insurance coverage quotes with discounts
The price of auto insurance can be rather high, but you may be missing some discounts that you may not even know about. Most are applied at the time you complete a quote, but a few must be asked about in order for you to get them.
- Passive Restraint Discount – Vehicles equipped with air bags could see savings of 20% or more.
- Low Miles Discount – Driving fewer miles can earn substantially lower insurance coveragerates.
- Braking Control Discount – Cars and trucks with ABS braking systems or traction control can avoid accidents and earn discounts up to 10%.
- Senior Citizens – If you’re over the age of 55, you are able to get reduced rates on LR3 coverage.
- Payment Method – By making one initial payment rather than spreading payments over time you could save 5% or more.
Don’t be surprised that most discount credits are not given to the overall cost of the policy. The majority will only reduce the price of certain insurance coverages like comprehensive or collision. So when it seems like it’s possible to get free car insurance, you’re out of luck.
A few companies that may offer quotes with these discounts include:
If you need lower rates, check with each company which discounts you may be entitled to. All car insurance discounts might not be offered on policies in your area. For a list of insurance coverage companies with significant discounts, click here.
Tailor your insurance coverage coverage to you
When it comes to choosing adequate coverage, there is no perfect coverage plan. Everyone’s situation is a little different.
For instance, these questions may help highlight if your insurance needs may require specific advice.
- Am I missing any policy discounts?
- Is borrowed equipment or tools covered if stolen or damaged?
- What is the ISO rating for a 2009 Land Rover LR3?
- Is pleasure use cheaper than using my 2009 Land Rover LR3 to commute?
- Does liability extend to a camper or trailer?
- Are rock chip repairs covered?
- What is PIP insurance?
- Is my 2009 Land Rover LR3 covered for flood damage?
- Are split liability limits better than a combined single limit?
If you don’t know the answers to these questions but you know they apply to you, you might consider talking to a licensed agent. If you want to speak to an agent in your area, complete this form.
Car insurance 101
Knowing the specifics of your auto insurance policy helps when choosing which coverages you need and proper limits and deductibles. Policy terminology can be difficult to understand and nobody wants to actually read their policy.
Collision protection
This coverage covers damage to your LR3 resulting from colliding with a stationary object or other vehicle. A deductible applies then the remaining damage will be paid by your insurance company.
Collision coverage pays for claims such as rolling your car, colliding with another moving vehicle and hitting a parking meter. This coverage can be expensive, so consider dropping it from lower value vehicles. Another option is to bump up the deductible in order to get cheaper collision rates.
UM/UIM Coverage
Your UM/UIM coverage gives you protection from other motorists when they either are underinsured or have no liability coverage at all. Covered claims include medical payments for you and your occupants as well as damage to your Land Rover LR3.
Since a lot of drivers only purchase the least amount of liability that is required, it only takes a small accident to exceed their coverage. That’s why carrying high Uninsured/Underinsured Motorist coverage is important protection for you and your family. Usually these coverages are similar to your liability insurance amounts.
Medical costs insurance
Coverage for medical payments and/or PIP kick in for bills for nursing services, rehabilitation expenses and hospital visits. They can be used in conjunction with a health insurance plan or if you are not covered by health insurance. It covers all vehicle occupants in addition to if you are hit as a while walking down the street. Personal injury protection coverage is only offered in select states but it provides additional coverages not offered by medical payments coverage
Comprehensive or Other Than Collision
Comprehensive insurance coverage covers damage OTHER than collision with another vehicle or object. You first have to pay a deductible and the remainder of the damage will be paid by comprehensive coverage.
Comprehensive can pay for things such as damage from a tornado or hurricane, a broken windshield and hail damage. The most a auto insurance company will pay at claim time is the ACV or actual cash value, so if the vehicle’s value is low consider removing comprehensive coverage.
Liability coverage
Liability insurance can cover damages or injuries you inflict on people or other property in an accident. This insurance protects YOU against other people’s claims. Liability doesn’t cover your injuries or vehicle damage.
Coverage consists of three different limits, bodily injury per person, bodily injury per accident and property damage. As an example, you may have policy limits of 25/50/25 that translate to $25,000 bodily injury coverage, a per accident bodily injury limit of $50,000, and a limit of $25,000 paid for damaged property. Alternatively, you may have one limit called combined single limit (CSL) which provides one coverage limit rather than limiting it on a per person basis.
Liability insurance covers things like pain and suffering, emergency aid, repair costs for stationary objects, funeral expenses and loss of income. How much liability coverage do you need? That is a personal decision, but it’s cheap coverage so purchase as much as you can afford.
