Want lower insurance rates for your Maserati GranTurismo Convertible? Do you get overwhelmed by the sheer number of insurance sources in your area? Vehicle owners have such a vast assortment of sources available that it can easily turn into a difficult situation to find lower insurance rates.
You need to compare premium rates before your next renewal because prices change frequently. Even if you think you had the best deal on GranTurismo Convertible coverage on your last policy you may be paying too much now. You can find a lot of misleading information regarding insurance on the internet, but in a few minutes you can learn some solid techniques on how to slash your insurance rates.
How to shop insurance online
There are a variety of methods you can shop for insurance and some are less labor-intensive and much quicker. You could waste a few hours talking to agents in your area, or you could save time and use the web to achieve your goal.
Most of the larger companies belong to a marketplace where insurance shoppers submit their information once, and each participating company then gives them pricing for coverage. This eliminates the need for repetitive form submissions for every insurance company.

The only downside to using this type of system is you cannot specify which carriers you will receive quotes from. If you prefer to choose specific insurance companies to request quotes from, we put together a list of insurance companies in your area. Click here to view list.
How you compare quotes is your choice, just try to use the same coverage information with every price quote. If you are comparing different data it will be impossible to find the best deal for your Maserati GranTurismo Convertible. Quoting even small variations in coverage limits can make a big difference in price. It’s important to know that comparing all the rates in your area provides better odds of finding a better price. Not every company provides rate quotes online, so it’s necessary to compare prices from them, too.

Get lower rates with these discounts
Insurance can be prohibitively expensive, but you might find some hidden discounts that you may not even know about. Certain discounts will be applied when you complete an application, but a few must be manually applied before you get the savings.
- Savings for New Vehicles – Insuring a new car can get you a discount because newer vehicles keep occupants safer.
- Early Payment Discounts – If you can afford to pay the entire bill instead of making monthly payments you can avoid monthly service charges.
- Good Grades Discount – Performing well in school could provide a savings of up to 20% or more. The discount lasts up until you turn 25.
- Policy Bundle Discount – If you can combine your home and auto policy and insure them with the same company you could get a discount of 10% to 20% off each policy.
- Discount for Life Insurance – Not every insurance company offers life insurance, but if they do you may earn a discount if you purchase a life policy as well.
- Multiple Vehicles – Drivers who insure multiple cars with one company can reduce the rates for all insured vehicles.
- Senior Citizens – Seniors can possibly qualify for lower premium rates on GranTurismo Convertible coverage.
- Clubs and Organizations – Affiliation with qualifying clubs or civic groups is a good way to get lower rates on your next renewal.
- Good Driver Discounts – Insureds who avoid accidents may save up to 50% more on GranTurismo Convertible coverage than drivers with accidents.
A quick disclaimer, many deductions do not apply to all coverage premiums. Some only reduce specific coverage prices like physical damage coverage or medical payments. Despite the appearance that you would end up receiving a 100% discount, it doesn’t quite work that way.

Auto insurance can be complex
When choosing the right insurance coverage, there isn’t really a perfect coverage plan. Every situation is different.
For instance, these questions may help highlight if your insurance needs could use an agent’s help.
- Is a new car covered when I drive it off the dealer lot?
- Am I covered by my spouse’s policy after a separation?
- Can I still get insurance after a DUI?
- Should I buy additional glass protection?
- Should I have combined single limit or split liability limits?
- Does my policy cover my teen driver if they drive my company car?
- How much can I save by bundling my policies?
If it’s difficult to answer those questions but one or more may apply to you, you may need to chat with an agent. To find an agent in your area, complete this form.
Car insurance coverage basics
Having a good grasp of car insurance can help you determine which coverages you need at the best deductibles and correct limits. The terms used in a policy can be confusing and even agents have difficulty translating policy wording.
Liability insurance – Liability coverage protects you from damage or injury you incur to other’s property or people. This insurance protects YOU from claims by other people. It does not cover your injuries or vehicle damage.
Split limit liability has three limits of coverage: bodily injury per person, bodily injury per accident and property damage. As an example, you may have policy limits of 100/300/100 that means you have $100,000 in coverage for each person’s injuries, a per accident bodily injury limit of $300,000, and a total limit of $100,000 for damage to vehicles and property. Occasionally you may see a combined limit which provides one coverage limit without having the split limit caps.
Liability coverage protects against things such as attorney fees, emergency aid and structural damage. How much coverage you buy is your choice, but buy as much as you can afford.
UM/UIM Coverage – This coverage gives you protection from other motorists when they either have no liability insurance or not enough. It can pay for hospital bills for your injuries as well as your vehicle’s damage.
Due to the fact that many drivers have only the minimum liability required by law, it doesn’t take a major accident to exceed their coverage limits. This is the reason having UM/UIM coverage is very important. Usually the UM/UIM limits are similar to your liability insurance amounts.
Collision coverages – This covers damage to your GranTurismo Convertible resulting from colliding with a stationary object or other vehicle. A deductible applies and then insurance will cover the remainder.
Collision can pay for claims like sideswiping another vehicle, colliding with another moving vehicle, sustaining damage from a pot hole, driving through your garage door and crashing into a building. Collision is rather expensive coverage, so consider dropping it from vehicles that are 8 years or older. You can also raise the deductible in order to get cheaper collision rates.
Medical costs insurance – Personal Injury Protection (PIP) and medical payments coverage reimburse you for expenses like pain medications, ambulance fees and dental work. The coverages can be used to cover expenses not covered by your health insurance program or if you do not have health coverage. They cover you and your occupants as well as getting struck while a pedestrian. Personal injury protection coverage is only offered in select states and may carry a deductible
Comprehensive or Other Than Collision – Comprehensive insurance will pay to fix damage from a wide range of events other than collision. You first have to pay a deductible and then insurance will cover the rest of the damage.
Comprehensive coverage protects against claims like hitting a bird, fire damage, a tree branch falling on your vehicle, hail damage and damage from flooding. The maximum payout you can receive from a comprehensive claim is the market value of your vehicle, so if the vehicle is not worth much consider removing comprehensive coverage.
